Using Google Apps in Sesame

June 2026

Connect the Gmail and Google Calendar apps to let Sesame personal agents help you with email and scheduling tasks.

What can Sesame agents do with access to Google apps?

Gmail:
  • Search and read emails and metadata to answer questions or find information
  • Draft and send emails (with your approval)
  • Use labels to help manage your inbox
  • Search your contacts to add the right person to emails or calendar invites you request
Calendar:
  • View events and calendars, including shared calendars you have access to
  • Create, update, and delete events
  • Find mutual availability across attendees with shared calendars
  • Set up recurring meetings

How to connect Google apps

Ask your Sesame personal agent to install the Gmail or Google Calendar app. It will connect the app to your Sesame account and ask you to authenticate with Google.

Once authenticated, you can ask your Sesame agent to help you with email and calendar related requests and tasks. You can view all your connected apps in the Integrations page in Settings.

Privacy and data handling

You must authenticate with your Google account. Sesame services can only access Gmail and Calendar data for the Google account you’ve connected.

Sesame only accesses your data as needed and retrieves the minimum information required. Retrieved data is secure in transit and encrypted at rest.

We do not train our models on data retrieved directly from Gmail or Calendar, ensuring your information remains private.

  • Note, if you’ve chosen to allow Sesame to use your conversations to improve our models, then any content you copy/paste from Gmail or Calendar, or Sesame’s responses which include specific information from your Google account may be used to improve our models.

Sesame may use conversation data to create memories and other personalized context. You can use Incognito Mode to avoid the creation of memories.

In rare cases, Sesame team members may review your account data and conversations for safety, security, or product quality purposes.

Gmail and Calendar may contain sensitive information, including references to geolocation information or personal details. Before connecting these apps, make sure you’re comfortable granting Sesame agents access to this information.

What controls do I have for how my data is stored and used?

  • You may disconnect the Gmail or Google Calendar apps anytime.
  • You can use Incognito Mode to avoid conversation data (including context gathered from connected apps) being saved to memory.
  • You can turn off model improvements in your Sesame settings.
