As a Senior Consulting Engineer with ExtraView Corporation, this individual is responsible for managing and implementing business workflow software applications, driving multi-national projects to successful completion, as well as developing, integrating and customizing software.

Responsibilities include: participate in sales calls, identify technical and business requirements, and design specific proofs of concept, determine scope, and draft RFP processes; perform requirements gathering, analysis and project design, ExtraView site configuration and installation, software development, design specification and authoring, data migrations, and customer and staff mentoring and training.

In this capacity, this individual will utilize prior consulting experience with Java, SQL, PL/SQL, JavaScript, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, Apache, Tomcat, WebLogic, IIS, Unix/Linux development environments, Web servers, data migrations, Java J2EE servlets, HTML, DHTML, ExtraView servlet and APIs, and XML/XSLT. Use of source control tools SCM, such as CVS and Perforce. Creating and executing QA test plans. Furthermore, this individual will be responsible for managing teams of consultants in the projects described above, and in mentoring ExtraView professional services staff.

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Commerce, Computer Science or related degree

2 years of experience as Sr. Consulting Engineer, Computer Systems Analyst, Information Systems Manager or related

Experience must include:


• Application development using Java, SQL, PL/SQL, JavaScript, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, Apache, Tomcat, WebLogic, IIS, Unix/Linux development environments, Web servers, Java J2EE servlets, HTML, DHTML, ExtraView servlet and APIs, and XML/XSLT.
• Successfully performing complex data migrations
• Use of source control tools SCM, such as CVS and Perforce
• Creating and executing QA test plans
• Integrating workflow applications such as Extraview with enterprise level applications, including Documentum product suite, APIs and development environments.
• Coordinating and managing simultaneous large-scale projects
• Providing technical support and training
• Gathering and preparing application and business requirements and using such requirements to architect appropriate software system solutions.
• Pre-sales engineering and prototype building
• up to 6+ months per year travel (reimbursed) to customer sites across the US required.

We seek a mid-level Technical Support Engineer in our Scotts Valley office who will apply strong communication and problem solving skills for the benefit of our customers. ExtraView is a small, cooperative environment serving large enterprise customers.

• Communicate with customers via email and telephone to resolve issues
• Replicate customer environments, reproduce and debug technical issues
• Coordinate with Engineering and Professional Services

We seek a mid-level Database Administrator (DBA) in our Scotts Valley office who will apply strong communication and problem solving skills for the benefit of customers and technical operations. ExtraView is a small, cooperative environment serving large enterprise customers.

• Manage 24x7 production environment databases and applications
• Ensure effective storage, archiving, backup and recovery procedures
• Guide enterprise customers on Oracle and MS SQL installation and tuning for ExtraView implementations
• Design and manage database and network monitoring
• Work closely with Engineering and Product Management on ExtraView development
• Write and test schema patch script for new product features and bug fixes
• Provide second-level customer support
• Install and manage servers, network infrastructure, and workstations

• 3 years Oracle DBA production environment experience
• SQL tuning and troubleshooting
• Oracle backup and recovery methodologies and implementation experience
• 3+ years UNIX "power user" with Shell scripting skills
• Excellent problem solving, analysis and technical documentation skills
