Users may specify a simple search layout that includes common fields for quick searches. These quick search layouts may be unique for each user role or each business area in the system. Users also have the option of using an expanded search layout (again customizable for each user role) in order to create more detailed filtering.
ExtraView is capable of searching across business areas (Help Desk, Bug Tracking, Warranty Entitlement, etc.) and across various projects (Data Migration, J2EE Translation, etc.) if access is given by the administrator.
