The Keyword Search allows users to perform searches on text data fields and optionally, attachments in a filtered query. If users are searching for phrases or multiple terms, single or double quotes work in a manner similar to most popular Internet search engines. All text fields are searched, and the query can be combined with any other filters.
ExtraView gives the option of using wildcards (*) in searches; this symbol acts as any character you please. For example, if you were looking for all Assigned To that had the letter 'R' as the first letter in their name you would simply type R* in the Assigned To field.
Users can use wild cards when searching on any free text field. This may include: Owner, Version, Release, or any user-defined Text Field. |
