ExtraView can automatically notify specific users according to established business rules. For example, the Director of Quality Assurance may receive notification of a new P1 issue, or the Product Manager may receive notification when an issue on his or her product is updated.
Interest lists can be enabled on most fields via a data dictionary entry. Once enabled, the administrator can maintain a list of who is notified, according to the values in the field. Several criteria may be selected in defining an interest list. When a list is created, the administrator may choose to enforce the delivery of notifications based upon the interest list, or they may allow users to subscribe and unsubscribe to each interest list.
Notification is automatic, there is no need to take any action as a user to ensure that the correct person is notified. |
